What Have I to be Grateful For?

What a perfect time of year to express gratitude and especially appreciation for all that we have!  Even though there’s so much happiness and beauty that surrounds us, we sometimes miss it as we are caught up in the hectic pace of the holiday season.

This season I plan to put in a little extra effort to be mindful of all the small and large wondrous things that come my way; a smile from a stranger, a bird singing in the tree, a hug from a loved one, the kindness I witness or hear about that’s happened to others.  I want to notice all those moments that make life richer and activate those feelings of appreciation, love and joy!

Our happy and peaceful energy alone can be a gift to those around us if we just keep ourselves balanced and in a place of happiness and appreciation.  We often forget that a joyful and healthy presence is one of the greatest gifts we can share.

An easy and powerful day to day practice is to be mindful of our level of gratitude and appreciation; recognize just how much it impacts the world around us.  We can combine mindful practices of gratitude with some simple energy exercises to keep our minds open and our hearts full.

I have two tools for the holiday season that you can use if there is an issue or something you are dreading.

First when you set your intentions for the day make sure you spend a few minutes reflecting on the type of day you want with the type of interactions you would like to enjoy.

To set this up after you have grounded your energy, bring the energy up from the earth and let it gather in your solar plexus (middle of your stomach).  Direct this energy to whatever place you are attending.  Are you having dinner at your house, a family members home or even a restaurant?

Send this energy to the place where you will be and ask for a fun, happy, exciting, peaceful time with great communication.  Ask for whatever you want your day to be like.  We do not want conflict or to come home wishing we never went.

Second, if the place you are going to has a person who usually causes drama or negativity, put that whole situation on a plate and ask the Universe to handle it for you.

Now, Let It Go!  Don’t stress over it as you’ve just handed the worry over to a greater power.  Imagine that person on the plate has been asked by this power for the time that you are together be pleasant.

However with all this being said, go where you are celebrated.  Have fun! Create a new tradition this year if that’s what you want.  Don’t take on anyone’s problems, issues or emotions.

Please know and feel my deep appreciation for you and my sincere gratitude for being part of the Whole Heart Energy Healing community. This year I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many people and through those connections our lives have become more meaningful and joyful.

Thank you so much for that! I look forward to continuing to cultivate our connection as we learn and grow together!

Let’s do this…..together is better!
