Welcome Winter!

I know that winter doesn’t officially start until December 21, but I do absolutely love winter!  It’s  a time of quiet wonder and at times, it can’t come soon enough, nor can it overstay its welcome. The falling white quieting blanket, diamonds glistening off of the snow’s surface, cool temperatures and delicious scents of cinnamon and coniferous trees gets me every time.  It can be an incredible high!

For me, it’s a reminder of the happy Christmas hustle and bustle of when I was a kid.  I recently discovered a plethora of holiday commercials from the 70’s and 80’s on Youtube.  Most were shown on TV in the United States, but some of them were shown on the Canadian stations or the cable US stations that we received in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  (See bottom of the article for a link.)

However, winter can feel dark and isolating for people, and trust me, I’ve been there too.  I remember dealing with isolation, anxiety, and depression.  During those times, winter no longer felt magical to me; in fact, it made me act even more reclusive.

Winter is a time of introspection, an opportunity to evaluate where you’re at in your life and where you want to go.  It’s a time of incubation, a chance to sit with yourself and plan the types of seeds you want to plant come spring or as soon as next week. The stillness in the air allows for more clarity and fewer distractions.

If you’re working on making changes to your business, your self  or your life, winter is a great time to start seeding the process.  A Chakra Tune-up, an Energy Balancing or a Healing Session can really help to get that energy moving so you can process it over the coming months.  Better yet, enroll in The Heart and Science of Being programs and overcome your personal and your business blues!

Wishing you all an amazing beginning to the winter season – may you find comfort and relaxation snuggled up with a good book, a delightful conversation or simply enjoying a cup of tea while you watch the flakes fall.

As beautiful beings, we need to take care of ourselves.  YOU are stronger than you think.  You can do what you need to do.

Believe in yourself.

Believe in you.

I do.

Let’s do this…..together is better!
