Most people believe themselves to be dedicated to
achieving their dreams most of the time. However, what does that really mean? How do you actually achieve your dreams? You CAN go from where to you are to where you
want to be … however, usually you can’t just do it all at once … and that’s
okay!
Perhaps you’ll have to give up something in order
to go up to where you want to be. That’s
okay, too. What daily disciplines could
you develop to make your dream a reality?
When could you start doing them? Can
you start doing them now? Often it takes
some form of commitment. Commitment
starts with what you are doing today. If
you’re not focusing you attention and taking inspired action, you’re not really
committed to achieving your dream, are you?
What would you discover if you kept a journal,
jotted a note, taped a recording, kept some sort of record of the dreams you
want to achieve? What if, for a week or
two, you kept track of the amount of time you spent on various activities? Do you think upon review that you could find
some things to cut out or cut down upon so that you have some blocks of time
that you could use to remake yourself or achieve your dream?
I’ll bet that you’d even find more time for real
interaction with your family and friends and for doing things you all love to
do. How much time do you require for
making your dreams come true? What are
you willing to do differently to make your dreams a reality instead of doing something
you wistfully think about from time-to-time?
“The next time you find yourself
thinking that someone or something is keeping you from realizing your dream,
stop yourself. If you have a dream, and
you want it bad enough, you’ll make it happen. Look to yourself to clear away the barriers
between you and your destiny. Then
determine to reach your dream no matter what it takes.” – John C. Maxwell
What are willing to do for your dreams to go up
from your heart or your head and into reality?
Where there’s a will, there’s a way, especially a way up!
Let’s do this…..together is better!
